Troxelville Mennonite Church History
Troxelville Mennonite Church, Beaver Springs, Pennsylvania, USA is affiliated with Hope Mennonite Fellowship (HMF) and was an outreach in the village of Troxelville by the Cocolamus Mennonite Church. HMF purchased the Troxelville United Methodist church and held the first service there on Sunday evening, 14 August 2011. Troxelville Mennonite Church began holding regular Sunday services on 2 October 2011 after the fall communion at Cocolamus.
Wendell K. Martin had been ordained on 3 June 2011 at Cocolamus for the Troxelville congregation. Harlan Martin, pastor of the Coclamus congregation, served as senior pastor for Troxelville for one year and assistant pastor for a second year. James Shirk, who had been ordained in 2009 as deacon for the Cocolamus congregation, transferred to serve as deacon at Troxelville. Bernell Zimmerman served as bishop.
